The whole world should have declared this past week wizard week. With thee immense amount of Harry Potter paraphernalia that has been displayed this week. On wednesday I went to see the great close of the Harry Potter series. (Yes I was pretty pumped to be getting to see it a day earlier than every one else.) As my lovely date I took my favorite brother. We stopped and picked up Matt and Seth, then took a journey up to Spanish Fork .
The movie was incredible. I loved every minute of it. I even brought my REAL Ollivander wand from Hogwarts in Florida. After seeing the movie, I was kinda fascinated with wands.I saw these simple to make wands online, so I tried them out. They look so majestic and are super easy.
1. Find some chop sticks. You can use 1 - 3 depending on how think you want your wand.
2. Roll them up on construction or scrapbook paper. Applied plenty of hot glue as you go.
3.Roll very tightly with plenty of hot glue to the very end.
4. For the handle apply a generous amount of hot glue, I like to make it look like its melting down the wand. Once dry you can do more layers.
5. Start decorating the rest. I used a simple vine look for this one.
6. Bedazzle! You can use marbles, pebbles or stones. I like to always put them on the bottom and sometimes the handle.
.Start Painting! (I prefer to use metallic for the magical look)
7. Paint thee entire wand black.
Then you can start painting the rest. for this one I gave it a purple handle.
This is a Project Cody can do...
8. Make some watered down Black paint and drip it over the wand. Dab off the excess , it makes it look antique.
Thats it folks.
i don't want to jump on the "so sick bandwagon" but uh....
